From Tours we continue to Troyes. Here there is a very pleasant and spacious parking area in the city (Air de Camping-Car).
The bike ride to the historic center is a bit exciting, but luckily we reach it after 3 km. In the best weather we stroll through the streets with the lovingly restored old half-timbered houses, visit the cathedrals of Saint Pierre and Saibt Madeleine. Some of the streets are so narrow that the roofs touch each other, so cats could and can easily get from one roof to the next.
The 16th century townhouse "Hotel Mauroy" houses the world's largest museum of hand tools from the 17th to 19th centuries. The number and diversity amaze us.
We continue walking through the charming town – but it is still too early for dinner, so we cycle back to the campsite and cook ourselves.
