As announced, we just relaxed yesterday. Unfortunately, we have run out of reading material, so we had to pass the time playing games (Rummikub can also be played openly) and taking a walk on the beach. The camping spot in Porto Sant'Elpidio had its good and bad sides. Since it is located directly between a road and the train tracks, it is quite noisy there, but we also found one of the most beautiful showers of the past few weeks, albeit outdoors but with plenty of hot water - awesome!

Since our rough plan still includes a few destinations, but the days are slowly running out, we mustered the energy to continue driving today. We made our first stop in Cingoli. It is a small town inland, about 600m above sea level, with a great view towards the sea. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a parking space on Google beforehand, so we were slightly nervous as we approached the town. Wanting to be smart, we parked on the first wider roadside we saw within sight of the town and set off on foot. As the crow flies, it was probably only a kilometer, but the road made a few zigzags, so it easily added up to three kilometers. To make matters worse, we found parking spaces in the town on the mountain, where else, where we could have easily parked without any problems - but we would never have found them from the car. 😉

The view was breathtaking. I only know such a view from a mountain in our area. Here, you stand in a city on the old city wall and have a 180° field of vision into the distance - incredible. The hilly landscape up to the sea was spread out before us.

After a relatively long driving distance compared to the previous days, we are now on a camping spot outside of Italy. Here, all car license plates are blue and consist of one letter and four digits - San Marino.

We are looking forward to tomorrow's exploration tour!
