Used the last free (sun)day and visited the Niagara Falls. Only a good hour away by car, Patrick threw a playlist into the speakers, blue sky - perfect.
Arrived there; what can I say? I imagined it completely differently. I imagined a natural, rural, forest-like place with waterfalls in the middle. Maybe it used to be like that. Today there is a small town around it in a little Las Vegas design and all hotel chains from the first row. And maybe that's why it was even more impressive. But see the pictures for yourself.
There is a permanent bass-like water sound. No wonder, with 2 million liters of fresh water -
PER SECOND!
Clean water, mist even high up on the slope - madness. Really impressive and powerful this natural spectacle.
Afterwards we were hungry in a typical North American restaurant and I tried a Canadian specialty - Poutine. Simple recipe: French fries, melted cheese, gravy. Tastes as good as it sounds strange. I shared the portion - see picture. It's too rich. Has 1900 kcal. We decided to go for the pimped version with beef brisket and BBQ sauce.
Enjoy the pics.
