When starting from Calgary towards the Rockies, the panorama is already beautiful. If you then leave this beaten path towards the interior of the country, a completely different picture emerges. HUUUUGE wheat fields, smaller livestock farms, rather flat here.
When we move in Germany, we are used to packing our stuff in trucks and off we go. However, some Canadians sometimes skip the packing and move the entire single-family house with the truck.
Early shift finished, there was still some time left for downtown and to work off order forms from home. In Regina I had bought myself a big bag as a precaution. Now I can take everything home with me.
Conclusion: If you want to go to Canada, you should definitely visit the Rockies and Calgary is not only a perfect starting point for that. Calgary itself is a pilgrimage site for meat lovers, especially on a culinary level. High-quality products (Wagyu, dry-aged) at affordable prices. In combination with the hotel, these 3 days here were a real highlight.
Tomorrow, in line with that, we're going on another highlight: crossing from Calgary to Vancouver. 975 km through the Rockies, we will probably be on the road for 13 hours. So it's time to go to bed early. Good night.
