India - China - Malaysia

Currently I'm hanging out in Penang in Georgetown. Mosques, temples, churches....lots of Indians and Chinese! Here, all kinds of cultures come together. I really like that. The people here are super relaxed and friendly. One guy yesterday was almost too friendly. He talked to me for about 30 minutes in a dark alley and asked me to regularly write him emails, in which I should address him as 'hi, my German brother'. That would make him very happy. :-D

Oh, and I did some laundry...and dried it... (Hello, Mom)

Earlier I was in a small Chinese neighborhood, which is right next to (or rather, almost in) the sea and is built on stilts. Lots of nice little shops, and I think people live there too.

After that, I went to 'Little India', had a very good vegetarian lunch and then got some sweet stuff (like donuts) from a street vendor.

Here, I'm staying in an 8-bed dorm and the hostel is also quite nice. Now my stomach is starting to make itself noticed. I'm not exactly sure if it's craving beer or food. So I'll give it both :-)
