By the way we took off from Puerto Montt in bright sunshine. The sun had apparently decided to bid us farewell. The flight lasted just under two hours. The further south we flew in Chile, the more impressive the landscape became. We flew over huge glaciers, a rugged coastline and snow-covered mountains. Then we landed on the flat countryside, surrounded by mountains with white peaks, in Puerto Natales. In the best weather, we strolled through the town for a while and treated ourselves to a very fine dinner. Snow crabs, spicy tomato soup, trio of scallops, fresh fish in lemon sauce, tiramisu and chocolate parfait. It was simply fantastic. After an impressive sunset, it was time for bed, because the alarm was set for 5.30 am the next day.
