Thursday, October 12th, 2023, day 12
We had a very good night and rewarded ourselves with coffee and tea in the morning. Afterwards we had breakfast in the sun (yogurt, oatmeal, walnuts and yesterday's strawberries), then we drove off to Santa Barbara. There we visited the mission, one of the first founded in the late 18th century by Junipero Serra, a Franciscan monk, along the Camino Real (marked by the so-called Mission Bells, large bells for communication between missions). .
Then we continued on the Pacific Coast Highway/Highway 1 towards Los Angeles. We were on the beach in Ventura and drove through Malibu, marveling at spacious houses, then through Santa Monica to Venice Beach. There we found an RV campsite for this evening, where we also have all the connections for the motorhome (fresh water, electricity, sewage pit) so that we can do maintenance on the motorhome for the first time. Waste water tanks emptied, fresh water refilled, EXCITING ‼️ Then there is also a laundromat here and we do our laundry (for this we just walked 4.5 km 7000 steps to the nearest store to buy detergent). Now we are cooking again and are happy with ourselves.
