#Trip to Masterton ♥

Hello dear ones ♥

Finally, there is an update and a lot of pictures of us :)

This weekend, thank God, we got out of Wellington and visited Steffi & Franzi in Masterton. After about 1 1/2 hours by train, we finally arrived and immediately walked to the Christmas parade in the city center. Well, you have to say: there's not much going on in Masterton! A lot of green around and probably more sheep in the area than inhabitants! But Hannah and I loved it sooo much ♥ Finally, seeing mountains, meadows, and lakes, it was simply great :) and the weather is simply better than in the capital!

The Christmas parade was somehow a bit strange. Standing by the road in sunshine and summer dress and seeing floats with "Ice Queen" figures was totally illogical and didn't fit together at all :P but it was very interesting and we just experienced it :) Glühwein was missing, but it simply wouldn't have made sense at around 20 degrees *g*. Instead, I have my loved ones who keep sending me photos of various Christmas markets... somehow I think they want to annoy me :P

On our journey back home today, we were already wondering why the train was going so slowly... after overhearing a conversation, we found out that another earthquake measuring 5.5 shook the South Island and aftershocks were felt all the way to Wellington, so the train had to go slowly... we took a little more time for the journey back home ;)

We really enjoyed the weekend, even though it was way too short ♥
