A dream becomes reality

2 weeks ago the time had come: we moved into a mobile home, affectionately called Lulu, after we had to liquidate our apartment and the beginning of our retirement, in order to travel around Europe with it for about 3 years. Lulu is a tribute to our two late Jack Russell Terriers, Lucky and Luke.

First we moved towards Allgäu. We had to settle into our new life first. Not so easy, the feelings drove a roller coaster. What we couldn't understand at all was the fact that we were sad. We couldn't explain why. Spoiler: in the meantime, pure joy has overtaken us. After spending 2 days on a farm in Legau, we moved on to Lake Chiemsee. There we stood for 2 days in a place in Übersee. Nothing spectacular but due to the very nice weather we were blessed with a great sunset.

We started the adventure from Lake Chiemsee, avoiding motorways and using country roads. In the future, every ride will be a highlight in itself.

We experienced a wonderful overland trip through Austria and Slovenia. Even the Wurzen Pass was no problem for our motorhome. We stopped at a campsite in Triglav National Park. Every mountain biker's heart would beat faster at the sight of the mountains and elevations. We only did a little discovery tour around the square because I had a wish that should be implemented.

I wanted to see the sea. So towards Croatia. However, Istria, the northern part of Croatia, is a very popular destination in August. The first place we headed for, Savudrija, couldn't offer us a place to stay in the local squares. So on towards Umag/Novigrad. Between these two places we found our pitch, thank God nice and shady. So far we have let our souls soar here and we will continue to do so in the next few days. In a few days we will slowly set off towards Baden Württemberg. We will stay there for a few days due to the wedding of our daughter/stepdaughter. After that we will make France and Spain unsafe. Next report follows.
