By ferry from Genoa to Corsica

🤔 one may not understand why one gets up at 05.15h on vacation! We didn't really understand this morning either, even though we knew that the ferry to Corsica was leaving at 08.30h... The alarm clock was practically unnecessary, because Wim didn't want to sleep anymore after 05.00h anyway. If you share 2 square meters as a bed, you don't really have a choice to close your eyes again; although closing them is possible, but Wim will open them again 😄 Getting up was also rather insignificant. We got away great from the place in Genoa. But as a first challenge, we had to face the traffic in Genoa. Well, there wasn't much traffic, but those who were on the road constantly gave the impression that one was a traffic obstacle. However, Duci did really well. The 130 horsepower come when you need them... However, the fact that the average Genovese is not quite as strict with the road signs as the Germans did not make things easier. Time was (!) in the luggage, so 'keep calm and keep searching!' The fact that we are now sitting at the campsite in Calvi (Corsica) shows that we made it.

By the way, I had the impression that a skilled swimmer could easily catch up with us on the ferry ⛴... We were on the road for 7 hours... But Captain Wim did a great job -as he has done so many times before-!
