Arctic Circle

In the late afternoon, we reach the Arctic Circle at a warm 23 degrees Celsius. It feels totally surreal to stand in the snow wearing short clothes. Generally, we are lucky with the weather. While it is raining and stormy in the south, we are sweating all day. The landscape is impressive and magical. The sun no longer sets and it is always bright. Overnight parking is free in the parking lot. Souvenirs can be purchased at the Arctic Center and there is also a restaurant. Many campers take the opportunity to stay here and by evening both parking lots are well filled. We spend a peaceful night here and continue towards Lofoten the next morning.
