For three days in autumn we decided to go to Lübeck, where we chose a nice hotel right in the old town. The journey with our electric car took a bit longer, but it was a cozy drive on country roads and only a short stretch on the highway (where we got stuck in traffic). There is a charging station for two electric vehicles at the MUK, but unfortunately another car arrived just before us, so we couldn't charge for the time being.
So we checked in and then set out to explore the old town of Lübeck a bit.
We walked along the waterfront of Holsten- and Hansahafen to the Burgtor, through which we continued into the city center.
The old town of Lübeck offers a beautiful sight with its many old buildings, which we unfortunately couldn't fully enjoy because it started raining more and more.
So we hurried to get to Café Niederegger, as we had reserved a table there for the afternoon. Reserving there is advisable: The line went from the first floor all the way to the shop on the ground floor, waiting for a free table. Thanks to the reservation, we didn't have to wait in line and shortly afterwards we enjoyed a piece of marzipan cake.
After we were refreshed and the rain had subsided, we first went back to our car. Fortunately, one of the charging stations was now available and we were able to refuel for the return trip.
The weather was still quite unpleasant, so we were glad to have reserved an escape room for the afternoon. At 'Lost in Lübeck' we had to find clues in a room about the whereabouts of a journalist who had been kidnapped by a criminal gang from Lübeck.
After we found the whereabouts of the kidnapped person and escaped from the room, we went to the Theater Lübeck after a restaurant visit.
