Fuller than the moon

After waking up very hungry yesterday morning, we put on some of our clothes, hopped on Daisy and drove to the yoga café again. There was delicious fruit salad with a small portion of yoghurt and muesli. We had the feeling that we definitely needed vitamins. With all that eating out, sometimes you really forget to pay attention to nutrients. If you also have problems with digestion, which happens from time to time, then you will notice it at some point.

Back in the bungalow we lay down briefly and slowly got ready for the evening. Sometimes cold showers are really good and revitalize us. We dressed up a bit for the full moon party and threw ourselves into our cute new tops. The taxi arrived at 5:05 p.m. We picked up 4 other people. Unfortunately, our location is really at the other end of the island from the harbor. So we were alone on the road for a good hour before we got on the boat. Oh dear. Swells aren't too bad at first... but when the waves are as high as they were yesterday and the boat flies for a short time and hits the water again, then it gets really unpleasant. Without holding on, nothing would happen. It was even recommended to wear a life jacket. Luckily we survived the trip really well and were really happy when we disembarked. Equipped with wristbands, we set off, following the crowds.

We really needed to build a foundation, so we chose pizza. Since the waitress in one shop unfortunately didn't serve us for over 30 minutes and our stomachs were really on the floor, we decided to go to another pizzeria. Very good decision. The Chang we ordered with it immediately caught our attention.

On the way to the beach we stopped at a stand that sold us a bucket with a delicious cocktail and where we also had the opportunity to paint ourselves with black light paint. We are true artists. Wow, that was nice.

When we got to the beach we actually expected there to be even more people, but it was only 8:45 p.m. While we were looking around and taking a souvenir photo, three familiar people suddenly came up to us. The soldiers. We really didn't expect to see them again at the fullmoon party - with 20,000 visitors. The evening definitely went differently than we had planned. Everything went well, nothing happened to us. But we certainly experienced people who were fuller than the moon. The music was loud, although not always to our liking. The crowds were dancing and celebrating and having fun. The alcohol level didn't go away for us either. We experienced our first and hopefully only argument in the middle of the night. Despite everything, we didn't leave the other behind and tried to pull ourselves together. We couldn't get a boat at night and spent the night on Koh Phangan. In the morning, cuddly tomcats purred around our heads. We only slowly got going and eventually managed to drink a banana shake and make our way to the harbor. We bought 2 tickets for the next boat to Koh Samui. The journey was just as bad as the journey there. We just had to laugh a little harder because a few people on the boat got soaking wet. One has put on her diving goggles! We'll probably be in their shoes tomorrow...

“I think there are power lines burning out there right now” - “No, that’s definitely fireworks!”

When we arrived on Koh Samui, we had to somehow get to the other end of the island. A very, very nice taxi driver kindly stopped and asked how much money we could pay. We said: “800 baht”. She said, “1000.” We: “800”. She: “OK!” She felt sorry for us, you could tell we had last night. And that wasn't necessarily a good thing. The dear woman had a baby in the front passenger seat in a maxi dress. We talked soberly again about our argument and the evening, where definitely nothing went as we wanted. There were tears... but in the end we loved each other again. The lovely taxi driver stopped at a street stall and picked up 3 coconuts, of which she gave us 2!! How sweet?! To top it off, she actually brought us to the front door and said goodbye with kisses on the right and left cheeks and with a kiss on Nina's forehead. We were so incredibly grateful for this beautiful encounter!

In the bungalow we first had to come to terms with our lives. It took a while before we made it to the shower; brushing our teeth had given us a whole new attitude to life.

After reporting on the previous night, we drove home to the nearest pizzeria because we hadn't eaten anything until the evening. The pizza was way too big, we only managed half of it and had the rest packed up.

We are exhausted, completely exhausted. That's enough for today. Our rollercoaster ride is also a bit tiring, but we welcome all feelings and it's good for us to keep telling each other that. We lie in bed, everyone has their own thoughts and we create space for our own tasks.

Sleep well
