Longyearbyen 16-23 May 2022 / 22 May

After a peaceful night (sleeping in front of a glacier wall), we continue today in Krossfjord to Camp Zoe, landing with Zodiac boats. There we take a two-hour hike through wonderful nature, see an old trapper's hut that can still be used, but only by residents of Ny Alesund. After lunch, we continue to Ny Alesund, where our ship can dock. First, we see other people and colorful houses again. In winter, around 30 researchers and students live in Ny Alesund, and in summer, around 120. It is also a place with several beautiful colorful houses. Then we continue towards Longyearbyen, where we can observe many eider ducks on the way out.
