This morning we pass the Arctic Circle. At this exact moment, the weather god shows his best side, and we can take atmospheric and impressive photos. The Arctic Circle refers to the special lines of latitude on the Earth at 66' 33' 55' (=66.57') north and south, where the sun no longer rises or sets on the two days of the solstice. Their radius corresponds to the axial distance between the tropics and the equator. We continue past the mountain range called the Seven Sisters in Sandnessjoen and admire the Torgatten mountain in Bronnosund before continuing to Rorvik. Rorvik is a city on the island of Inner-Vikna in Trondelag. It is the largest settlement and one of the two administrative centers of the Naeroysund municipality. The city is located in a typical coastal landscape, and the buildings consist mostly of older and newer wooden houses.
