Weather: wonderfully sunny and pleasant temperatures, unfortunately still very windy

My 8th day of travel started promisingly with a beautiful sunrise and little wind. Since breakfast was supposed to be at 8 o'clock, I got up before 7 o'clock to go packed for breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and lovingly served. I was even allowed to take a roll with lots of meat. I was very happy about that later in the evening. But I'll report on that later.

According to my plan, I thought today would be a completely flat tour. But I was mistaken. They weren't the same hills as the last few days, but high enough to drain my batteries. This, and probably also because of the strong headwind, I did not reach my destination for the day. Well, originally I only wanted to go as far as Nieberg, but both accommodations were fully booked. I had somehow hoped for that, so I just had to continue towards Walsrode. My energy would have been enough for that, but not my bike's. I only had 0 km left as a reserve when I reached my alternative accommodation. Walsrode is not far away, but can't be reached with an empty battery.

I have often heard of the Weser and the Weser Cycle Path has also been recommended to me. But even without any special planning, Komoot led me on a long stretch of it. And I must say, it was really beautiful.

To save battery, I walked about 2 kilometers in between and pushed the bike. During this time, I enjoyed the roll with lots of meat from breakfast.

Only in the late afternoon did I finally reach the beautiful Allerhof. The wheat beer that I am currently enjoying is well deserved today.
