Here in Surry Hills it's a bit like in PrenzlBerg: lots of nice places to eat and drink. Last night Matthes and I stopped by The Clock (they have a beautiful wraparound terrace on the first floor, which we pass by every day) and reviewed the day over a nightcap.
Today, some of us slept in while others did some laundry (because starting from Sunday there won't be another opportunity for that).
For sightseeing in Sydney, we chose The Rocks today - right by the harbour and remains of the original settlers, so old, small houses and alleyways to stroll through, with some narrow streets filled with spooky yet funny stories about the people who used to live there.
While strolling, Ursula discovered a little shop that sells slightly crazy/alternative clothes - she had a quick chat, tried on a dress in the changing room, passed all the assessments with a 👍 and bought it after a little dance performance!
In the late afternoon, we jumped on the ferry to Manly to have a look around the beach, breathe in the Pacific air, observe some surfers, and admire the great view of Sydney on both ways.
We managed all of that, including having Fish and Chips at Manly's best fish shop (Mama got the tip from a fellow traveler during the almost 30-minute ferry ride (he even showed her the way on his iPad and advised her to eat the food on the harbour side because you have to compete with the seagulls on the seaside, who also know what's good)!
