Actually, getting up early this morning was supposed to 'make the most of the day'... actually... (we had breakfast after 12 and we were sitting on the tram around 2 😂)
So: a smaller program (the weather was bad anyway: gray and raining) and so we explored the laneways in the city center, which are full of art - sometimes better, sometimes worse - but it was fun (oh, and including a dance performance by Ursula during/after a video shoot with some hip-hop dancers). We were supposed to go to the Botanic Gardens, but after finding out that the cafe we had chosen ('Krimper') was closed (already in Berlin), we were offended, drank some coffee with foam in the drafty corridor of a shopping center (well, the coffee wasn't that bad, but it was strong) and decided to just go out to eat.
On the side, a little trip to top up the Myki card: we had to hurry and we couldn't get through the barrier - Myki card was empty - no top-up store nearby and where was the anxious crowd? Right: in front of the top-up machine. Top-up went well, but you can overdraft the Myki cards (someone should have told us), so there was less credit on the card than we topped up... but now we knew how it works and did it twice... 😄
Now onto 'going out to eat': 'thirty eight chairs' was our choice for the evening. A bit fancy, a few hipsters, but authentic Italian food (and the prices make you close your eyes - everything is a bit more expensive here). Apparently not possible without a reservation (and you can't be claustrophobic or entertaining (great music, too loud)), but with a blink of an eye and a smile, we got a table on the terrace in the neighboring closed restaurant... 😍
Going home by bus was a home game: we know the system now and got off at the right stop in a nonchalant way!
