Sooooo, here I am again. It's all over. As always. You look forward to it for months, and then? It happens so fast you can't even blink.
Last winter, we decided to follow the Tour de France 2020 for a while and experience the crazy tour events up close and personal.
Unfortunately, due to a well-known reason that is still present, this plan fell through.
Fortunately, we were able to at least drive near France.
All in all, the vacation was a success, with many interesting encounters. Since we did a lot of biking, we reached places that you, as a driver only, wouldn't be able to reach. You can always stop immediately to marvel at or take a photo of something newly discovered.
Even the brief encounters with people on the bike paths or in the evenings at the campground with other motorhome travelers were always entertaining and enjoyable.
Speaking of bikes: We are STILL convinced cyclists without motor assistance. But we are definitely in the minority now. Nowadays, you already have to justify why you don't ride an e-bike. :-))
But seriously: In the Black Forest, pedal assistance would have been nice from time to time. But thigh burning isn't that bad.
In any case, the Black Forest and the Vosges Mountains on the French side are scenically beautiful and always worth a trip.
The parking spots we chose were consistently not crowded (despite corona), all well-maintained, inexpensive, and always beautifully located.
Finally, I will look for a few previously unpublished pictures and add them here.
To those who haven't had a vacation yet, we wish you a wonderful time and take care until next time.
As mentioned at the beginning: After the vacation is before the vacation.
