61. Sithonia -> Vouvourou -> Volvi See

61. Tag: More or less the whole night the rain pelted on our roof. When we get up, it's only raining lightly. However, the wind is still blowing quite well. Anyway, we absolutely have to take another look at this beautiful place. So we set off. Well wrapped up, it's also quite bearable by the sea. We explore the two small rocky peninsulas that divide the coastal section in front of us into three beaches. The climbing over the rocks and their unusual shapes really make us happy. So we unexpectedly spend a nice morning in rainy Vouvourou.

Afterwards, we make use of the bad weather to do some chores. First shopping, then washing clothes. This time including bed linen. We pass the time in the laundromat with route research and theraband training.

On our way east, we find a beautiful parking space at the Volvi Lake, just a few meters from the water. Birgit immediately spots a pelican on a mini island in front of us. The air is filled with the sounds of countless water birds and frogs. A real nature concert. Very nice! But at night we will probably need earplugs again. Unfortunately, this is more the rule than the exception here in Greece, because the stray dogs often bark a lot at night. That can be quite annoying!
