And the Groundhog Day greetings daily, get up shortly after 7, morning toilet, walk the dog (on the beach, mom's feet in the water), make the motorhome ready, and then shortly after 9 towards Gothenburg. Unfortunately, dad forgot to take a ramp block with him, but we only notice it a day later.

At 11 we reach Gothenburg and have to realize at the campsite that there is no more space for us. On the way to a paid parking lot, we drive far away from the navigation route ('who needs a map?') through an upscale residential area and find a small but sufficient wild parking lot. A few branches had to be moved aside so that the motorhome could drive half into the forest, but in the end, we are perfectly fine.

Immediately we grab the bikes and head to the city, 10km later we arrive at the beautiful Slottskogen Park. On foot, we go up the 'hill' to a free mini zoo for children and another medium-sized enclosure for ONE moose, a few deer, and other typical Scandinavian small animals.

Then we take a half tour with the Hop On/Hop Off bus and a complete tour with the boat. Here we learn from our extremely funny tour guide many funny facts about Gothenburg, such as the story of the sailboat purchased from Denmark as almost wrecked, which was expensively restored. After completion, the gentlemen noticed that the path to the sea was blocked by a bridge that is 44m high, but the highest mast is unfortunately over 50m. Now it is well restored and serves as a restaurant. Another masterpiece is the fastest large ferry at that time, which drove from Sweden to Denmark in 2 hours. However, the whole action was more than questionable economically and ecologically, which is why this ship is now in the harbor, this time as a garage.

During the trip, we were even able to briefly admire 2 wild seals in the harbor basin.

Afterwards, we took a short walk through the city back to our bikes, which were parked in the park, and rode back to our motorhome hideout. We then chased Marley and Finni onto the Trollskullar playground (a school for trolls) and then went to bed, exhausted but satisfied, all of us.
