So, the day has come and we have to leave this beautiful island with wonderful memories. We are happy that we have gained so much insight and seen so much. Of course, not everything is perfect: there is a lot of litter because people on the island simply don't care. It's just like many other places, but at least we tried to leave a small footprint behind.
Now this part in (a not perfect) English for our friend Albert
We enjoyed our last morning at the beach right next to our home. As usual, Albert provided us with what we needed, so we could go snorkeling and see lots of different fish. We reminisced about our perfect moments.
Once again, it was very special for us to watch Albert's show. Even though we knew he was not feeling his best, it was amazing to see him perform. His passion and energy, and the way he performed, touched us again. We were honored and felt so close to him when he dedicated a song to us.
The next morning, after returning from the beach, he opened the last fresh coconut for us. It was the sweetest and perfectly chilled, thanks to Dani putting it in the fridge. After drinking the coconut water, we ate the rest. We continued talking and cherishing the remaining time we had.
Of course, we took some pictures and we are sure this won't be the last time we see each other. In just a little time, there will be a band, made up of the same kind of people, as Albert would say. Or as we like to say, "it's a family thing". Being called a daughter and being called family means so much to us. For now, all we can say is thank you so much for everything - every conversation, every laugh, every meal. And of course, we will stay in touch!
