I set off around 10 AM. On the way out of the city, I noticed that the motorcycle was leaking gas. At first, I wanted to wait until the next fuel stop, but since the leak was significant, I aimed for the next parking lot. Apparently, a clamp on the fuel line was not tightly secured. After tightening all the possible clamps and screws, the issue was resolved. The ride took me through beautiful landscapes in sunny weather. However, it got progressively colder, and I was glad I had worn a pullover. The border crossing into Georgia is at an altitude of about 2000m, which explains a lot regarding the temperatures. On the way to the border, I encountered a cyclist from Australia. He was heading to Yerevan and wanted to travel through Kazakhstan to China. The border crossing was completely hassle-free and quick. The route in Georgia was even better. Good roads, nice weather, and beautiful landscapes. After arriving at the hotel, I visited a castle complex. It is located directly across from my hotel. Tomorrow, I will continue to Turkey. The destination is the city of Erzurum.
