After finding a beautiful waterfront spot in the evening, we were able to walk to the old town in the morning. The weather was wonderful again and Riga's reputation as the "Pearl of the Baltics" was undeniable. Simply beautiful. Riga brings together many European countries, which is also evident in the architecture. After breakfast, we booked a private guided tour of the old town for just the three of us. It was absolutely fantastic, with lots of information. We were shown corners that we wouldn't have found on our own. At noon, we continued to Lithuania. There we wanted to visit the pilgrimage site with thousands of crosses. At first, it didn't look that impressive, but the closer we got, the more awe-inspiring it became. The pictures don't do it justice. We placed a cross there for Emil and Henriette, wishing them luck and good health for their entire lives. Afterwards, we drove to Warsaw. We arrived at night because it was still about 500 km. But that way, we didn't have to worry about finding parking the next morning.
