The night had been quiet, only the sound of the river was there. But the place had no charm. I had to defend my breakfast against two greedy beasts who are allowed to roam freely here in Norway. But nobody stands between me and my muesli. It started at 9:30 and I had to conserve my water. Since I expected little settlement in the first few kilometers and didn't want to visit people in the morning. It went through marshy landscape on gravel tracks. The first view of the lake with the mountain panorama was still very cloudy. But the sun quickly solved this problem. The next 50 km were pure Alpine atmosphere. Mountains, cows, ski lifts, lakes, wooden huts, gorges and valleys. My Garmin showed 36°C in the sun. Which led me to places in the shade with wonderful views during breaks. From 72km I returned to the E6, which I wanted to follow for a while. When a campsite came, I decided on the simple solution today, as the sun had also cost me energy. Unfortunately, the place was closed, as won, so gone. My way continued along the main road. At 87km there was a rest area with a toilet that I visited and it couldn't have been more beautiful. Later I saw the 4.6-star rating on Google. Behind the place flows the Svone, a clear river, which I used for a swim. The water was freezing cold, but the sun was still there. There were countless benches and fireplaces as well. After cooking, I made a small campfire, when a man came and placed a bag of the finest firewood next to me. He had bought it weeks ago and had carried it with him on vacation, now he didn't need it anymore. It would be better off here. Awesome, awesome, awesome. He went his way and left me with something to do for the evening. I read and made a fire.
