Ötztaler Urweg Stage 7 from Zwieselstein to Gaislachalm

After the last two stages were quite demanding, today we have a shorter high alpine tour ahead of us. It became alpine from Gaislachalm up to Gaislachsee at around 2,800m. We couldn't continue the path to Gaislachkogel as there were still too many snow fields on the way. After reaching Gaislachsee, we first went downhill and later walked straight along the slope to the middle station of the Gaislachbahn. From there, we took the cable car up to over 3,000m altitude. There, in addition to Austria's highest gourmet restaurant, you can find the Bond Museum '007 Elements'. Even though this stage was shorter at 14.4km, we still had to overcome 800m of ascent and descent each in the end.
