Day 18+19 Thong Nai Pan Yai / Limelight Village

प्रकाशित: 10.02.2020

The last two days have been quite unspectacular again. Funny enough, our days currently start very early at 7:00 a.m. Since the last evening in Haad Yao, Samuel seems to have spontaneously adjusted and suddenly has a fixed time of getting up at half past seven and wanting to go to bed at 8 p.m. That's why we're now simply enjoying breakfast, which we didn't think we would use, and are already in the room much earlier. Yesterday we explored the place and the beach where we experienced the colorful bird in one of the shops, chatted a lot with the two couples we know here and just had a cozy day.

After the afternoon nap, we went for delicious food again at Siam Beach, where there is actually a wood-fired pizza oven. Samuel briefly agreed to play with the sand, but it was only a short pleasure, as the photo shows :-) In the evening, we went to the pool with Zwergi, after he and the sand are unfortunately no longer friends. He had a blast! He jumped endlessly from the steps into the water, he swam and spun in the water in all directions with his arm bands, he enjoyed every second and gave kisses without end out of pure happiness and joy. Since our accommodation doesn't have a nice path and he doesn't walk on the beach, he clearly lacks exercise, so it's very convenient for us if he at least moves a lot in the water now.

Today, our day started again with breakfast promptly at 8:00 a.m. What immediately caught our attention were the high waves, which were getting stronger and stronger. It was cloudy and they said it would rain. At noon, there was hardly any beach left and the water kept rising and pushing the tourists further and further back, where everyone had to cuddle up together. After breakfast, we managed to get Zwergi excited about swimming in the sea. Although dinner had to be salt-free because he drank what felt like 2 liters of saltwater, he surprisingly didn't mind at all. Our pool is also a saltwater pool, and he didn't mind that either. Later we found out that we were lucky because the little mouse of the couple a few resorts later was bitten by a jellyfish that was washed ashore by the storm. In the evening everything was fine again, and fortunately it seems that all resorts have vinegar readily available for such cases, but it was still a huge shock for the three of them. Especially because there is a jellyfish warning for the island due to poisonous Australian jellyfish that have been washed ashore here.

After swimming, we explored the watery beach and the playground and took advantage of the beautiful light and unusual views for a few photos. When do you ever swing in the water :-) Samuel laughed endlessly when the water splashed on us while swinging. We just managed to get back to the room quickly before the heavy rain really hit us.

In the evening, we went to the food center in the town, which we almost overlooked. It's a small mini-food market with a few food stalls. It was incredibly good and even cheaper. We actually paid the equivalent of 16€ for 3 main courses, 2 shakes, and 2 drinks. There, we watched the construction sites next door, where the construction workers, of course, started pouring concrete for the second floor bucket by bucket, wearing flip-flops and without work clothes or helmets. Fascinating. We also found it interesting, but not unusual, that the food market, like probably many things, is not connected to the water and sewage system, and the wastewater simply drains into the grass next to it.

Today, all three of us had a day of indulgence, including Samuel. After weeks, he finally had a day where he ate normally, even a lot and with enjoyment. It started with breakfast and ended with watermelon, cookies, and his first yogurt before bed. I love such days, then the mom is relaxed too ;-) With that, we wish you a good night and greetings Karin&Joe&Samuel
