After the stressful day yesterday, today we have a completely contrasting program on the agenda: We sleep in and then have a nice and relaxed breakfast in the sky bar. We want to spend the rest of the day at the beach swimming, sunbathing, and dozing off.
The breakfast in the sky bar is à la carte. Today we choose pancakes. Although we have had better ones, the breakfast is more than successful just by the superb view. After breakfast, we slowly get ready for the beach.
In the early morning, we finally reach the sea. We immediately notice that the beach more than deserves its name Long Beach, as it is endlessly long with a length of 20 km. The beach is lined with palm trees and beach bars and has golden yellow sand. There are some larger stones on the shore here and there, and a pier leads into the sea.
On our way back, we take a break at a restaurant on the beach for a cold cola and lunch. We decide to have deep fried noodles. The deep-fried noodles are quite difficult to eat as they have the consistency of uncooked noodles. They taste interesting, but we don't need them again. We pay about €6 for two portions of noodles and three cans of Coca Cola, a bargain.
We spend the rest of the day at the sea. Since we can't possibly lie in the sun, we rent two beach chairs and a parasol at a beach bar for 100,000 ₫ (about €4). Time flies while swaying at the shore, swimming, sunbathing, and dozing off. The beach is beautiful here and we feel like in paradise. When the sun begins to set, we start making our way back along the beach.
We only have dinner left and we look for a new backpack for Martin in a department store. His daypack backpack from LIDL is not up to the journey and is slowly giving in. The food is good, we'll have another look at the backpack later. Good night!
