17th November 2016 - Avignon

Today city tour of Avignon, the former seat of the popes and the old town with the old bridge, which ends half in the Rhone, the rest collapsed in one night in the 16th century. The strong fortress and at the same time magnificent palace was the seat of the popes in the 14th century. This extraordinary monument is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The palace was shaped by nine successive popes.

In the afternoon, continue to Aiques Mortes in the Camargue (100 km) on the country road with about 50 roundabouts. :-) Arrival at 6:00 pm.

Unfortunately, the lever to open and close our toilet has broken. With the help of pliers, further use is possible, but a bit difficult. :-(
