Viva Las Vegas and Aloha Hawaii

Tomorrow is finally the day...the past few weeks have dragged on like gum, only to escalate into stress in the last few days before the big trip. But now all the appointments are finished, the suitcases are packed 95%, and my stiff neck has been expertly taken care of. The journey can begin...

We will start tomorrow at 11:50 am in Cologne and fly 11 hours with Eurowings to our first stop in Las Vegas. We will spend the first few days there to let the time difference sink in and recover from the long flight. And in the meantime, we will do a little shopping, play in the casino, shop some more, check out the hotels, shop some more, maybe watch a basketball game, and maybe shop some more. :-D

On Tuesday, we will continue to the most populous island of Hawaii, Oahu. There we have an apartment right on the famous Waikiki Beach.

After four nights, we will visit the largest island in terms of area, Big Island. We don't yet know exactly what we can do there, because a few weeks ago the Kilauea volcano was still very active and destroyed some main roads and parts of the national park. So we'll just see what will be possible.

Finally, we will visit Maui and enjoy the beautiful beaches there for a week and drive along the famous Road to Hana.

Before we head back to Germany, we will fly back to Las Vegas. The remaining days there, we will spend visiting the natural wonder of the Grand Canyon and watching a Cirque du Soleil show.

That's the plan. The three of us are really excited to see how this three-week adventure will go and if we can accomplish everything we have planned and still enjoy our vacation.
