09.01.2023 from Rathdowney to Tenterfield

We are actually the only guests who stayed at the campsite, no problem, the journey continues. Today we are driving 200 km further southeast and see a green landscape with mountains, fields, grazing cows and horses. It is quiet in the countryside, often we are the only ones driving a vehicle here.

Arriving in Tenterfield, we visit the local campsite, secure a spot first and then get advice on suitable hiking routes. Today we climb a mountain in Bald Rock NP. Actually, it's bold after yesterday's cancellation, but we want to try it.

We choose the moderate and therefore longer route, passing through a sparse Eucalyptus forest with spherical stones and also reaching the top, of course! The sun is blazing and we enjoy a 360 degree view of the landscape. The mountain is bare, like cast from a single piece, and very impressive. We return the same way and today's hike is 6 km long with a difficulty level of 3. We are very satisfied. Now we rest and enjoy the rest of the day. See you soon.
