30th stage "Amirsoy, Uzbekistan"

Today we took a taxi to Amirsoy, a winter sports resort near Chimgan. After a short detour just before our destination, we finally reached the resort. The complex is at an altitude of around 1700m. We want to hike a bit here and take advantage of the much more pleasant temperatures.

07/15/2024: Today we met a family from Uzbekistan at breakfast. We had a great and long conversation with them, so that the morning was almost over when we parted ways. It is these kinds of encounters that make a vacation really interesting, something you remember for a long time. We spent the afternoon mainly reading and resting. The cold we had caught was still having an effect, even though it had gotten much better.

Tomorrow we want to try a short hike to the top station of the cable car.

07/16/2024: After a hearty breakfast, I made my way to the top station of the cable car. Barbara had to pass because she was still a little under the weather. The route wasn't particularly long, but it was quite steep in places. Especially when it went over a trail for downhill riders. When I got to the top, a great view awaited me. From the top station, other paths lead to other peaks and mountain stations. So you can still let off some steam up here if you feel like it. On the way back, I met two women from Germany at the station near our hotel who asked about the way to the mountain station. I think we were the only ones that day who had the idea of walking to the mountain station. All the other visitors preferred the cable car.

07/17/2024: There is not much to report from today. After breakfast we took the cable car up the mountain to go for a little walk. The view up there is simply amazing. We spent the afternoon reading, drinking coffee and preparing for our departure.
