I never thought that I would write a blog post in the night or rather at 05.00 am. Since I can't sleep anyways at the moment, I spend my time with this specialty.
A parking space with a magnificent view from the bed through the windshield to the sea allowed us to spend the night at a spot in John o' Groats.
Our spot was within walking distance of the following impressions.
So when the day really came to an end or already started again, I realized that this night would be my worst night so far 😏
While Spastgal peacefully snoozes with her earplugs, I lie awake, wide awake, with a distance of about 0.5m next to her and have to say or rather think: 'I'm really scared! Scared that the wind blows us away.'
Compared to what we or rather just I am experiencing here, the storm Lothar in 1999 was almost just a 'mosquito fart'.
The whole sleeping in the camper is like a voyage on the high seas with a small rubber dinghy that is about to capsize.
My only thought at the moment is how can I fall asleep without driving somewhere else🤷♂️... The wind, let's call it a storm, is so strong that it bends the bodywork of the camper. -> No joke! 😳
I tried to capture the wind photographically but with little success... hence the wind radar.
