Hello,
Continuing further south in the night bus, we left Hanoi in the evening around 7pm and arrived in Hue 12 hours later, half asleep. Sleeping was not really possible as our driver couldn't seem to decide between speeding up and braking, but I survived that too.
Arrival was as expected, with gray skies and light rain. Since we are moving on in less than 24 hours, we have another busy schedule.
First destination is the old Citadel of Hue, which initially bored me but turned out to be quite beautiful and impressive in the end, maybe it's because of the constant gray weather for the past 2 weeks. We then walked to Tien Mu Pagoda, but the distance was quite far, so we quickly hailed a taxi. We kept the taxi for the rest of the day, which allowed us to easily visit the tomb of Minh Mang, the tomb of Khai Dinh, and the tomb of Tu Duc.
As you can see, our day was filled with activities, so we rewarded ourselves with a rich Indian dinner in the evening.
I will remember Hue quite well, as I liked it a lot.
See you soon... ;-)
