Today was a travel day, about 550 km west to Kemerovo. The landscape offered little variety, first fields, then birch forest. At some point, you fall into a kind of trance state (maybe the afternoon Sun-Downer served on the bus is to blame), and you stare out the window and let the forest pass by. But maybe that's exactly the therapy....
The stopover is in Kemerovo. Kemerovo is an industrial city (coal mining) and impresses with its ugliness. That's why we drove past directly. Against our expectations, we have stayed in a very idyllic hotel (Parkhotel Graal) not far in the middle of the forest. Great cuisine and atmosphere plus beer garden and pleasant temperatures.
