First day in Portugal. And finally in travel mood. :)
With the setting sun in sight, I cross the border into Portugal. It is Saturday evening when I arrive in Tavira. Despite the many people, the beautiful old town with its harbor exudes such tranquility that I immediately feel comfortable.
My first culinary experience is anything but Portuguese, but I know that I can handle Indian food so late in the evening.
The advantage of parking spaces in the city is that you don't waste time in the morning, but go on a discovery tour right after getting up. So I could visit the Castelo before the crowds and the heat arrived.
Now I'm sitting in a cafe and listening to the people. The language sounds somehow Eastern European. Not at all like Spanish.
