Here we are again. Unfortunately, we have had no internet connection since yesterday. We will try to buy a SIM card today.
Yesterday, we went to Lombard Street in San Francisco. It was very beautiful. Typical for San Francisco. We also saw the Cable Car.
Summary of San Francisco: It is a very beautiful city. However, it has many problems. It is only cleaned at the tourist hot spots, otherwise it is rather dirty. In addition, poverty is immense. Many homeless people are there. It's really like in the movies. They push their shopping carts full of things through the whole city. This didn't bother us. Rather, it made us feel sorry. We had an experience. We were out to dinner and saw an older man dancing on the street. He apparently doesn't just want to receive money. Ryan and I felt so sorry for him. We brought him a burger, fries, and water. As we got closer, we saw that the man was likely mentally disabled. He couldn't speak. He also didn't smell like alcohol. Presumably, he simply has no one to help him. The state doesn't care about that. It almost broke our hearts. The city itself is really beautiful, except for the tragedies of these people. According to our taxi driver, the shortage of housing and drugs are the main problems here.
Now onto something nicer. We were finally able to pick up our camper.
After we had the camper, we went shopping and then headed towards Lake Tahoe. Beautiful. It's full of log cabins. A place where we feel really comfortable. It must be a dream to live here.
Our route for today:
In the evening, we just wanted to sleep. We were very tired from the drive.
