Hello,
This morning we set off on a short hike from Portree, through ferns that were as tall as us, with great views of the water and mountains. With drizzle and sunshine, it almost felt like being in a rainforest. Afterwards, we returned to the hostel where we cooked ourselves a good lunch and then took a few hours of well-deserved rest.
At three o'clock we continued by bus to Armandale, at the southern end of the island. Then it was time to say goodbye to the Isle of Skye. We took the ferry to Mallaig, from where tomorrow morning we will take the so-called Panorama Train, allegedly one of the most beautiful train routes in Europe, to Fort William.
See you tomorrow,
Veronika and Christine
