08/20/2021 Day 1
We rented an RV last year. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our vacation last year.
So this year, we are starting our experiment with an RV.
After spending days gathering things like kitchen utensils, bike pumps, flashlight, COVID-19 test 🦠, etc. etc., basically almost everything we have at home, we picked up our camper this afternoon. This is our home for the next 14 days.
After an hour of orientation (no idea if we remembered everything), we drive home. All compartments are packed, SUP and golf equipment are stowed away, and water is drained to reduce weight. We also mounted the bikes.
Everything is ready by 7:30 PM (packing suitcases is easier) and we head south.
I quickly learn that it's advisable not to walk through the camper while driving. I fly through the vehicle in the first turn.
Except for my knee, everything is intact.
Today, we plan to drive to Würzburg and stay overnight. So, here we go.
Find a parking space at a rest stop around 11 PM and fall into bed tired after a glass of wine. Unfortunately, we can't lock the doors... we'll solve the problem tomorrow. Good night🌙
