Yesterday I continued on to Banff. I actually wanted to take the bus from Calgary to Banff, but a much better alternative came up.
By chance, I found out that a friend from school is currently traveling in the same area in Canada as I am. Nora and her boyfriend Timon kindly took me by car from Calgary to Banff. That was, of course, much more pleasant than taking the bus and time flew by.
Unfortunately, my bed in the 8-bed dormitory was not ready yet when we arrived in Banff. But at least I was able to lock up my backpack so that I could stroll along Banff Avenue. The weather was great. Bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky. As a result, you could really see the surrounding Rockies. I didn't do much either, as I wanted to be fit for my first tour the next day.
