Today there are two entries, because yesterday we were not ready to spend too much money on wifi on the ferry. 😑
Yesterday morning we struggled to get out of bed relatively tired - there had been a polar light warning at night, but unfortunately the sky was too cloudy.
After breakfast, the spirits slowly returned, we tidied up the apartment and packed our things. We walked to the ferry terminal where surprisingly many people were already waiting. Ultimately, most of the passengers were women of different ages, all members of a Norwegian fitness club, who were organizing a kind of workout cruise.
After a double ID check, we finally boarded the MS Bergensfjord and found our reclining chairs, which were located in a sleeping room on the top deck. We squeezed our luggage into too small lockers further down and then explored the ship, which didn't take long - besides restaurants and bars, there was a tax-free shop and a sun deck.
The funniest thing, however, was watching the sports fans hopping around and drinking in the evening. We treated ourselves to a warm dinner from the 'ship cafeteria', which we washed down under an olive tree with a glass of wine. Then we listened to the band playing at the club and were even tempted to dance.
Feeling pretty tired, we made ourselves as comfortable as possible on our reclining chairs after midnight, in pretty rough seas, and tried to sleep.
