Hello dear ones

Our day started with the alarm clock at 8 o'clock, then we got ready, had breakfast (even with homemade fried eggs :D) and got on the scooter towards the starting point of our hike for today.

It was only 10 minutes away from our accommodation and everything went as planned.

We parked our scooter and off we went with the hike :)

The path was simply magnificent! At the beginning, it led us along a picturesque river, over roots and stones, right through the jungle and everything seemed very natural. There was always something amazing to see, really great!

The trail was indicated to be 3.7 kilometers each way and 500 meters in altitude. However, both of our watches showed significantly more, which made us doubt the accuracy of the existing trail markings :)

Once we reached the top, we were rewarded with an indescribably beautiful view, which we enjoyed for quite a while.

Although there is a lot of advertising for this hike, there were hardly any people up at the viewpoint, which of course we found very pleasant :)
As we were already on our way back, we met many people who were still on their way up. We actually thought that we were already late, starting at 10:15 am, because Thais recommend starting this tour at 6 am. But apparently we were mistaken :)

Once we reached the bottom, everything hurt again, we were exhausted and immediately headed to the next drink stand. Just as we had paid, it started to rain. Even though we know that rain in Thailand is usually short-lived, we decided to drive off immediately - after all, we only had a 10-minute drive ahead of us.
On the way, the rain got stronger and after a few meters, we were soaked through to our underwear. Seriously, it was running down our entire bodies :)
Even though it is generally very warm here, there was a cool wind and both Mom and I were freezing cold when we reached our accommodation.

We jumped straight into the shower and sat on the terrace with the thought that the rain would stop any moment. Wrong again... It has been raining for two hours now and we hope that we can still have a comfortable meal in a restaurant and take the laundry to the cleaner later. If not, we already have a plan B: we will have food delivered to us today and we can still bring the laundry tomorrow.

Kevin lands tomorrow and I am already incredibly nervous :)
We want everything to be perfect for his arrival, but it will be anyway, after all it's vacation ;)

We won't make big leaps today, which is why I am ending the blog unusually early at 5:30 pm and treating myself to a relaxed evening with my mom ;)

Dear ones, you will hear from us again tomorrow and we are already looking forward to writing to you ;)

Until theeeeeeeeeeeen

Pane
