Hello everyone
We enjoyed this morning a little on the seemingly deserted campsite.
At around 2 PM, we set off: we had to get to the other end of the island because we have already booked a ferry to Sardinia for tomorrow :).
On the way, we once again observed the extremely aggressive driving behavior on this island. However, we have to admit that the landscape here is really beautiful and diverse!
The journey took a little over three hours and we were relieved to finally arrive. The campsite was fantastic! In the middle of a beautiful bay, right on the beach, and it seemed very inviting overall. But, it wouldn't be us if everything had worked smoothly. When we wanted to check in at the reception, we found out that the campsite was fully booked. It was a bit tedious that the access road was about 10 minutes long and consisted of more potholes than road. Furthermore, it was extremely narrow and as this road also leads to the beach, it is also heavily trafficked. There was no way around it: close your eyes and go through - or rather, go back.
We found another campsite another 10 minutes away. This one had space, we were greeted very friendly and were even allowed to choose a spot. Now we are standing among trees, together with a few other campers, but with a healthy distance from each other. It's really good for tonight!
We will relax a bit this evening and tomorrow we will continue with the ferry at 10:30 AM.
Actually, we wanted to meet Kevin's mom here in Corsica... Only the day before yesterday she booked the flight... Now she had to cancel it and book a new one to Sardinia. Yup... Once again, a great organization on our part... But now everything is settled and we are really looking forward to it!
So, in that case, we will report from Sardinia tomorrow :)).
Until then!
