On Tuesday, July 25th, we finally reached the Togian Islands. After about 2 hours on the speedboat, we arrived at the main town of Wakai. Once there, we unloaded our luggage onto a taxi boat which took us straight to our first hotel, Kadidiri Paradise.
The bungalows with ocean view were simple but located right on the paradise beach with a coral reef in front - truly a dream. From the pier, we could dive straight into the crystal-clear water world of the Togian Islands and observe countless colorful fish and coral species while snorkeling. Two small blacktip reef sharks were the masters of the reef and would pass by several times a day.
For meals, we had pancakes with fruit for breakfast and mainly fish or chicken with rice for lunch and dinner. Meals, water, and tea were included all day long, at a price of about 25€ per person per day.
From the pier, we could enjoy beautiful tropical sunsets. Every now and then, we would see a flock of hornbills passing by in the evening, which we already recognized from their sounds in the Tangkoko National Park.
What a wonderful start to our stay on the Togian Islands... 🐠🌴🍹😎
