The world's largest department store is located southeast of Gothenburg. Once we wanted to see it and we didn't regret it. On almost 35,000 square meters, you can find pretty much everything your heart desires and you need in everyday life.
You can shop on almost 2 floors and the restaurant is located on the top floor. Even the shopping carts have their own parking space in the department store.
Even though the line in the restaurant is long, very long, it still went quite quickly and the food is surprisingly not only cheap but also tasty.
The concept of the department store is to purchase goods, among other things, from residual stocks and sell them cheaply to the customer. Because you never know exactly what there really is, the areas are roughly divided into themes. Food, cosmetics, toys, clothing, media, electronics and the DIY store, etc.
Up to 7,000 customers can shop in the department store at the same time. This sometimes leads to queues in front of the department store. The longest queue so far was 1.4 km. It takes time, money, and patience, but it is definitely worth it.
And for those who are tired after shopping, they can stay in the associated hotel or on the motorhome parking lot. Visit the in-house sauna and the matching bathing lake.
