'When you're still waiting for the snow to fall....doesn't really feel like Christmas at all...!' (Coldplay-Christmas lights)
Many people ask me if I'm even in the Christmas spirit with these temperatures. No, I'm not at all. No Christmas tree, no real candles, no cold, no snow, no functioning oven to bake cookies properly. The Advent Sundays pass me by, sometimes I forget that Christmas is coming soon.
But actually it's not that bad. It's something different. And the main thing is that I spend Christmas with my family. Tomorrow my sister-in-law is even coming to visit and I'm really excited. We will have a good time and will certainly get into the festive mood a bit. Christmas music, Christmas movies, hot chocolate and roasted almonds will hopefully support that. A dear friend also advised me to simply read the Christmas story. We will do that :-)
To everyone in Germany: Wrap up warm and have a Merry Christmas!
