Welcome back, or not?

Or: "The Turangi Massacre".
What happened? After a cozy trip from Picton to Wellington on the North Island, first the navigation system failed, then the sense of direction, and then the nerves. But one thing at a time... No navigation system, no problem, there are maps and road signs, the only problem is when you urgently need a place to camp, but freedom camping is prohibited and the signs to the designated areas are missing 😬 So we spontaneously decided to stay near Lake Taupo, which turned out to be a fatal mistake, because it was crawling with mosquitoes and the camper isn't sealed 😒😪 That means we woke up at 3 a.m. tormented by hundreds of mosquitoes and our first impulse was to set the whole camper on fire. Thank God reason returned and everything was fogged with insect repellent and thoroughly sanitized in the daylight after a nightly escape. Today was a chilled day because we deserved it 😊 And now off to bed, 4 hours of sleep is not enough when you want to drive a car 😉
By the way, there were also hot thermal springs along the way, which really smelled like ass but looked really cool 😂
