Weather: cool but sunny in the morning and it stayed like that all day. Another wonderful day.

It was cold in my room last night. Felt even colder than outside. Eventually I found a heater and turned it on. But that had almost no effect in this huge room. Since the toilets and washing facilities were only a short walk away, I asked myself what I had to do when it rained. I found that a great impertinence and will give it a 1-star rating accordingly. I find that an absolute impertinence and in plain English 'under all sow'.

But the sun was shining and accompanied us, my eBike and me, the whole day. There was even no wind and so the remaining 40 kilometers to Gothenburg were quickly covered. Right at the beginning of the harbor there was a hotel ship. I would have loved to have slept here if I had seen it somewhere.

I didn't know Gothenburg, but I liked it from the start and I happily ranked it among the beautiful cities of Scandinavia. I just followed my nose on the bike, as they say, and let myself be surprised. In between, I still looked at the map to orient myself a little. So I found a very long park that I walked through and pushed my bike.

As always, you can find out the exact route via Komoot, and there you can also see where I took which photos. Anyway it's best if you look at the photos as I can't describe them all as it really was.

Then I rode up a hill that would have been impossible to do on foot with my bike. When I got to the top, I had a wonderful view of the whole city, especially since it was a clear and beautiful day. The old building on top of that hill with a big crown on the roof is called Skansen Kronan. I pushed my bike down because it was much too steep to ride. At the very end I even had to go down a small flight of stairs, which wouldn't have been possible if I was driving.

Overall, I walked and drove about 10 km through the city and got a first rough overview. I realized that Gothenburg would definitely be a city worth visiting for a longer period of time.

Since there are almost no overnight accommodations south of Gothenburg, I set myself a far-off goal and achieved it. For the first time on my trip I am in a Vandrarhem, which is a kind of youth hostel. The room is only 8 m² in size and also has a shared toilet and shower, but at least it can be reached in a few steps in the house. Plus the cost is a fraction of what I paid yesterday at this golf club.

The location is also very nice, it's right on the sea, where I'll go right now and take something to eat and drink with me.
