28 to Arvika

Weather: Still beautiful and warm. For the first time, I saw a few small clouds in the distance.

The host put breakfast in the fridge for me. So I could take it whenever I wanted. And that was relatively early, because I started already shortly after 07:30.

My tour today was extended to over 100 km spontaneously, because I took a detour of about 14 kilometers; alternatively, I would have had to go on the highway for over 6 kilometers again.

This route was quiet and I remained relaxed. This detour was also planned by Sverigeleden, a long-distance cycle path. I followed this path very often afterwards as well.

Today I often cycled on cycle paths or roads that practically had no traffic. The largest city I passed through today was Karlstad. A city worth seeing, at least judging by what I saw.

After over 5 hours of pure riding time, I reached my accommodation for today. Since no one was there yet, I called the given number after a while. Andreas apologized for the delay. He was just shopping. When he arrived about 10 minutes later, he had a bag full of groceries with him. All just for me, as I am the only guest today. After showing me everything, he invited me to have a glass of wine, which we enjoyed together in the garden. During that time, we had an exchange of thoughts and I learned a lot from and about him.

Now I am sitting alone in this house with plenty of food and drink. It is still sunny and 18° warm. I am happy and tired and now I am closing out the day.
