Today we had a 6-hour bus ride ahead of us... but before we started, we had to go to the Vietnamese embassy to pick up our passports with visas. Luckily, everything went smoothly and we are allowed to enter Vietnam for 3 months starting from May 7th.
On the bus ride, we passed the time by sleeping, reading, watching videos, and planning the rest of our journey. This was really great because we were traveling in an almost empty bus. During a break at a small food stand, Markus and I wanted to eat something. Since we were not sure what was on the grill, we asked a monk about it. Long story short, we suddenly had a chili-filled frog in our hands. So we had to figure out a way to get out of the situation and eat it. In hindsight, the taste was actually not bad at all. It was just the tiny bones that were really annoying. To neutralize the taste, we had lychees afterwards.
Arriving in Battambang, we simply walked through the somewhat sleepy-looking city and looked for something local to eat for dinner...
